Amazon Gardening sales forecast for 2024: $30.7 billion, up 14.4%

It is understood that Amazon expects an overall growth of 19.9% in 2024, while the garden and gardening category is expected to grow by 14.4%, slightly behind the overall growth rate of the platform. It is expected that in April, the sales growth rate of this category will reach its highest point, reaching 20.1%.

In the second quarter of 2024, the garden and gardening category is expected to bring in $11.1 billion in revenue, accounting for about 36% of the full-year forecast revenue. In specific months, due to seasonal factors, the category is expected to have the highest revenue in May, reaching $4 billion.

According to the sub-category, sales of garden furniture and accessories products are expected to reach $4.8 billion in 2024, a year-on-year increase of 16.1%, slightly higher than the expected growth rate of the entire garden and gardening category. December is expected to be the fastest growing month for this category, with a year-on-year increase of 31%. At the same time, the second quarter will also be the quarter with the highest sales for this category, with an estimated revenue of $2 billion. Among them, May is its highest sales month, expected to drive sales of $746.2 million.

For the pool, hot tub and supplies category, sales are expected to reach $4.1 billion in 2024, an increase of 11.8% year-on-year. January is expected to be the fastest growing month for this category, up 26.3% year-on-year. It is predicted that sales of this category will be $1.7 billion in the second quarter. June is its highest sales month, expected to reach $650.2 million.
