From September 5-9, the Maison&Objet autumn exhibition took place in Paris, bringing together designers, manufacturers, and trendsetters from around the globe.
This year, the event revolved around the theme "TERRA COSMOS," highlighting humanity's quest for innovation and a visionary future. The exhibition delved into current consumer expectations for living spaces, promoting optimistic, flexible, and stimulating explorations of design. Vibrant and playful exhibits showcased the captivating allure of "TERRA COSMOS."
This year's focus on sustainable design is evident through high-tech material innovations. Many products featured creative uses of raw mineral elements, such as furniture and wall decor made from recycled plastic waste resembling marble, paper crafted from linen, and tiles created from marine sediments.
Additionally, a variety of coffee tables with wooden bases and stools made from reclaimed materials were prominently displayed. Nature and oceanic themes also gained popularity, with numerous planters stacked with marine elements and small furniture pieces supported by animal figurines, like wooden dogs and deer.
The exhibition was filled with eclectic designs showcasing abstract art. Vases and decorative objects made from geometric lines and colorful patches were omnipresent. Disco balls in an array of colors added a playful touch to the displays, embodying a sense of vibrant creativity.
Futurism took center stage at Maison&Objet with decor characterized by contrasting black and white lines and a dazzling spectrum of colors. This contemporary aesthetic was represented across various items, including decorative pieces, coffee tables, vases, wall art, and lighting fixtures, all displaying the exciting potential of futuristic design.
The exhibition also featured traditional and modern Christmas decorations. Classic red and green combinations stood alongside contemporary platinum designs, both creating distinct holiday corners that illuminated the exhibit space. Each style brought its unique flair to the seasonal celebrations.
